Default aem cam gears

I am going to be swapping my obd0 b16 to obd1 and when I do the dizzy swap I want to know if there is a way to do this without haveing to put a timing light to it when the new one goes in?

I am thinking I should time it anyways but I don't have the right timing light and don't know if thats one of the loner tools that autozone has.

also what seems to be the best setting ( in everyones experience ) for the cam gears as far as retard or advanced, I have aem adjustable gears, its na for now but turbo later.

the only mods to the engine are dc sports twin canaster cat back ( I know they don't make the tcs for an 88 crx but an arc welder does wonders ), I have seemed to lost my cat ( about the same time the cat back was put on, which I guess would now be a header back ), aem short ram, cam gears, msd coil, iridium plugs.

thanks for the help

???? injectors/harness.

if by harness you mean the ecu conversion harness then no not yet I am waiting for a big check to come in.

injectors??? my stock ones will work fine, I have been told all I needed was dizzy, o2, p28/p30 ecu and wiring conversion harness for ecu.

I shouldn't have too much of a problem actually doing it once I get the right tools. I have done it on older carburated cars and it's like shanging your plugs, just never done it where there is only one mark and its your light that reads the degrees.

whats the difference? high impedence/ low or peak and hold/saturated. I have 450cc dsm injectors for the turbo swap will these still work for the swap? how much would stock obd1 injectors be?
