oh why would my stock fuel press be at 30 idle and not 39?
No the threaded allen head on top is for adjusting the pressure. There should be a nipple on the side for the vacuum line to fit on. Depending on what regulator you have, there may not be a provision for a pressure gauge on it. What regulator is it?

The gauge reading will change after you hook the vacuum back up. Do your adjusting without the vacuum attached.

11.5-12 is a pretty safe air fuel ratio, I personally don't let mine go above 11.5. What air fuel ratio are you looking for?

An AFR of 11.5 is great for a turbo or blown car at WOT. For normal driving though you still want it around 14.6. The stock setup, on the Foxes anyway, is a bit rich from the factory even for a stock car. That's what's taking me so long tdialing my car in. I've got it pretty good at normal driving now and am a bit rich for the most part at WOT...but I'm lean at idle. Just have to keep wcrewing with all the parameters with my Tweecer. I'll whoop it yet.

Look in my gallery. Is it similar to the one I have pictured? That one is for later model Mustangs but the Fox one is similar, just a little different shape on the bottom. If so, then what I said above applies.

Yes, the brass allen head is probably just a plug.
