Fact, the B50 block is no better than a Mexican block.
Fact, the main caps will walk and the block will develop a crack at the main bolt that will migrate just like a stock block.
Fact, the B50 block is an overpriced POS.
Fact, to advise anyone that this block will handle 800hp is irresponsible.

Why dig this thread up? Are you trying to peddle a B50 block?

What happened was I had a guy ask me what the rating was on a sportsman block and I said well I will see what it says but I had told him you can't go on that....I just joined this site to see what's going on.... but like I said knowing what your doing they are doing they will hold 800hp w it grouted and girdled. My bro made 821 using this block and if you go look there's guys make over 900 with this block and running 8's with it.... And no Im not trying to peddle a block.

BTW: these questions I've asked... do you mind enlightning me where I've asked any questions...Hence as I have said I work in a machine shop and have for yrs. Done this over and over and over.

Most machinist will argue that and will tell you a girdle only helps prevent driving over the crank, doesnt make the block any "stronger"

I will argue that for sure.. in conjuction to the stability it will enhabit as much walking and that along with it being grouted...it is def stronger than originally. That is a fact.

Ive been told if it is going to ealk, let it walk, whne you make it rigid, it will break. I'll take machinist advice. New motor is getting concrete with no girdle
