Did you know that Helen Keller owned a pit bull? How about a few PRESIDENTS? There are numerous famous people who have owned pits and never had a problem. German Shepherds have a worse temperment record than pits do. The problem is that people report all the bad, and none of the good. There are more bites by chihuahua's than by pits. However, the little dogs rip the skin, but they are just so darn cute....Oh, they won't hurt anyone BAD....right? How about a little larger dog?

Yes, Denver banned the breed....Does that give them the right to come and kill a blind man's seeing eye dog? Simply because it LOOKS like what THEY think is a pit bull? It happened. They went to the guys house, and took his dog while he stood there in the door way. Then they killed it the very next day.

Go to this website ATTS - American Temperament Test Society, Inc. - Home and tell me how many American Pit bull terriers passed the temperment test...What percentage of BEAGLES passed the test? I'll tell you right now. 85.3% of pits passed. Only 81% of beagles passed. Lets look at another breed....A Border Collie...Only 80% passed....Another breed....bulldog....ONLY 70% passed!!! Lets look at the cute little chihuahua....71.1% passed.

Sorry but I do not trust that number. Please explain why there is at least 5-8 in the news here yearly where someone is killed by a pit, pit mix or other aggressive dog?

Convincing pit owners their dogs aren't violent is like trying to let a Honda Ricer know his car is slow.

 

Rottweilers are larger than pits and have a higher failure rate than pits. Same with st bernards. Ban them too?
