drag is fun, but curves are where its at.
drifting is just fun and skill improving driving.

I like all forms of motorsports, EXCEPT NASCAR! That shit's gay! Drifting just feels cool as hell as does flying 50 ft over a triple at the motocross track, as does launching on a well prepped drag strip, as does scraping the foot pegs on a street bike on a twisty road, as does getting a good ride on a nice 5 ft wave (OK, not motorsport, but still thrilling.) I do these things for the thrill of it and to broaden my knowledge.

A nice drift car can give you a run for your money at the drag strip (ex. Trogdor, the 539 hp 240 of SS), auto x well, and drift well. Your drag can go in a straight line well, suck at auto x, and really suck at drifting. So who's car can't do other things well?

Why Is NASCAR cool if all you do is go in circles for hours?.... Why do people go to see a 1200 HP chevy burn rubber down a track for less than 8 seconds and he's called the champ?..... if you look at it, in every event, there are supporters and then there are people that have never done it properly, hence the lack of understanding on how exhilirating the thrill of the ride, ( like drifting) would be. Drifting is extremely fun and you definitly have to have some skill to perform a good sweet drift without ruining your car or anyhting that might be too close to the car during.

is it becasue you do not like other forms of motorsports, you can not affford other forms of racing,or your car is not capable enough to do other things?

seems like this would get old since there are no lap times for you to improve on because it is all juding right?
Here is is straight from the horses mouth if you will..

Pure mullet in its best form. I love to drag race but I cant at the moment because I am in the fire academy and I dont wish to tempt breaking shit at the track with hard launches and more rubber spent with each pass than a whole day of drifting for me.

I had a great time at the drift event and I drive a damn 88 Mustang. It is all about having fun.I dont really call what I do drifting as much as some of the others simply cause well I have a shitty clutch pack and domestic cars powerslide much better than they drift just because of the weight issues and what not. I had a blast though man.It is all about complete loss of control while at the same time totally in control.Kinda wierd but when you slide a car sideways around a corner and set yourself up for the next corner all in one solid sweeping motion is it the greatest feeling ever.

It could probably stand next do most any other sport as far as adrenaline goes to be honest. Sliding is just fun period. Burning tires, sliding around corners, just having a blast .

Those are my reasons for doing what I do.

Well I think you have the wrong outlook on drag racing. I only say so because I dont know how fast your car is but I would assume you are not heavily modded. To like drag racing you have to keep modding the car because you will get only so fast with minimal mods and shortly you will not want to spend the money to find out that you cant improve on your et.

With drifting, you pay and pay and pay and always get another track , new set of tires to kill, diffrent situations and you dont have to mod anything but some tires..

See what I mean?

I love it...

Mark wants me to do up the vinyl graphics for the next event...Hmm Well I should have a job by then so I might spend a few bucks on some mullet oriented drift graphics

I love cars in general.I have always loved sliding.I used to powerslide/drift when I had no idea it was even a sport then I heard about it and was like damn,I have been doing that kind of shit on the street and in lots for a while. It is all great fun for me...
