Theres a ton of not very well known name suits that have kick ass protection enough to give you many crashes.

I understand your point, I mean I picked up most of my gear on sale or used, all A stars. But I have a few close friends that use cycle gears brands and I gotta say I am impressed. Ive seen people go down hard wearing frank Thomas gear and not even bust a seem. I think it's great stuff to get started with. Did you really think you where pushing it that hard on your first couple trackdays?

From what I remmeber there early Frank Thomas was garbage. But I know a friend that swears the european frank thomas is very good. Ive always liked Hein Gericke suits. Kobe, syed is good thick trackday suits. Astars is good and make a nice light race suits, but if you crash a lot like i used too the thicker the better.

I have seen super high dollar suits like Dainese shred like a t shirt in a grass fall. So its not the money! lol

I'd suggest anyone in Florida who hits up spots like Patterson and the Brooksville routes to do a track day. You will get hooked and you will spend a lot of money the FIRST TIME. The second time gets cheaper cause you already have the gear. Most people that think they are fast on the streets are no where near fast at the track. Its a good place to hone your skills and make you a safer rider. After riding in Florida for a few years and moving to NC for a while and trying to follow people you start to wonder if you really even knew what fast was. I'm now in New England and track days up here are way more expensive and the track selection isn’t all that great. Short riding seasons suck too. Take advantage of what you got while you can!
