Hey AFBoy143, This is Dragongirl here and just wondering what it was exactly that you wanted to know about me? I see that there isn't exactly a plethora of girls on this particular forum, and figured since I do know just maybe a thing or two about the subject I would just join in the suggestion giving fun. FYI... before I get a load of questions concerning my knowledge or lack there of.... I was in the biz for a while a few years back, but not in it anymore. So I am not up on all the newest gear and options, but don't count me out boyz, I just might be a welcome surprise to this testosterone laden group. Unless that is you all are gonna be mean and try to scare little old me away...

I think this forum is pretty much open to ANYONE (male, female, chimpanzee) who even has the slightest interest in the subject at this point. There's only a handful of active members in here as it is...so any newcomers are welcome. I'm sure the rest of the members will agree.

But yea.....
That's a huge disadvantage right there. Infinity definetly isn't known for heart stopping bass/mid-bass in the first place...but they're not playing anywhere near their potential off the measely 18-22watts most aftermarket HU's put out. I would think those components should be receiving a MINIMUM of 50w RMS per side, tuned in the range of 80hz.

So first I would get a nice size amp to push them, because even if you do get better components/mids you're going to need a nice amp on to push them as well. Your system is only as good as it's weakest link.

So could I just go with Infinitys all around and have a pretty good system? Probably 1 12" and 4 6.5" components.

Imaging usually sounds best when you have a stronger front stage. I would do components in the front, with an amp, but maybe only coaxials in rear.

Finally got the info. They are Vifa PL's. He got them from Partsexpress on sale for $18 a piece, not sure if they've gone up since then. Here's a pic of the PL's and the Rainbows side by side, PL's on the left....

Should I go for the components in the kickpanel mounts up front?

But I only wanted to use 2 amps hopefully. If I do that I'd probably still go for 2 other pairs of speakers in the doors, plus a decent sub.
