Why did you drop it into D? It doesn't make a difference, unless you were already rolling.

In drive (3rd) it does shift a tad bit harder. ever notice if you stick it in 2nd at a stop, and start accelerating, it holds in 1st gear waaay longer than normal (same RPMs and WOT shift point, just part throttle shifts are extended a bit more..). Plus, way more tq in 3rd due to your higher up in the rpms.. so you get movin quite a bit quicker
my primary concern is: why were you messing with another mans shifter

But from a stop, whether it's in OD or D really shouldn't make a difference, especially at WOT. It's still going to run through 1st and 2nd and 3rd before it hits the OD, and by then you've gone well past 1320 ft.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Andy... Corey, don't mess with another man's shifter.... even if it IS yours.

What me and my male friends do with our shifters is no business of yours!

I never noticed a difference in mine. Maybe mine was broke.

while i'm a few days late...i'll respond to tony's first post.

it takes about 10,000 total to make an all motor 92 civic hatchback run low 13's/high 12's.

while corey r. bought his camaro for less, i think most guys on this board with ls1 powered camaro's have spent more on their cars...total.

and i will challenge any of you guys to come out to an auto-x and then go to the track in the same month and see how you do versus my setup. ie...same tires, same suspension setup...etc...
