My point with the 50 thing was, would it make a difference if I was, go back and look again.As far as the military not paying, what the fuck ever! Maybe the lower ranks didn't pay too good, which I know, but when you make rank, you bank. Trust me, if I didn't, I wouldn't have two 2002 Pontiacs in the driveway, a 900RR in the garage, and a freshly built house. Oh, and I was married since I was an E1, so I know about raising a family on jr enlisted money.
I commend you for serving your country, and even more so for doing it in the Corps! There are tons of kids on this board that would be too chicken shit or ungreatful to serve their country, let alone do it in the Corps. We have quite a few jarheads around here, that you probably don't even realize. I won't throw the names out, because I respect their privacy. You were active duty you say... when you were, did you ever give the reservists shit for it? I hope you're not going to lie and tell me that you never busted a reservists balls about being a part-timer!

I realize you cant talk about what goes on central command over there and respect that , and Im glad to see you do appreciate those reservist , I used to think like you untill I got out and did the reserve for a few years and it's a hard balance with civy life thats why i stopped! So are we going to the tree line gunny?

true, i didnt know there was so many marines on here
dino, i got out as a Cpl, pay wasnt too bad, but wasnt where i needed to be. i make twice as much working for Progressive. plus i dont know about you, but i didnt really spend alot of time at home. mostly in the field monday to friday, you have to have a strong ass family to do that shit. which i have, i just dont want to drag my family through not seeing me, and moving them every couple of years. you cannot say that the Marine Corps hasnt ruined alot of families
i dont have a split personality, its just that i read one bad post, one good post, bad, good.
