worst part was they made you call the time for the drill..ie yell out the timing for everything... doing check halts down the side of the parade ground yelling "CHECK HALT" while you take a pace then halt for 75 paces kinda doesnt leave much room for breathing.. hehe.. and at double time... and marching with a full pack and the other shit is no mean feat either..
needless to say i never looked him in the eye at the wrong time again till i graduated boot.
btw.. the Australian Army boot camp was modeled off the marines boot camp during vietnam ..

Well zate I have heard good things about you aussies! never had the privelage to train with you guys, i personally took a liking to the rocks (S korean marines) and the the Brits! both cool ! the french suck ass Foreign legion haha! Actually I've heard you are similar to the brits in training methods, not a bad thing ie.. SAS!! they are bad ass! But you would know more about that than i since you were in the aussie army! holy shit zate, i dont think i could go through that kinda training, hockey training camp was hard enough, 5 sets of suicides, 25 full sprint laps, bar slammers and windsprints outside in full gear in the heat.
