No, I didn't say that. Go back and read it again. I said it will show LESS signs. I didnt say it will not show any signs. Do you not understand torque load multiplication? From what you just posted apparently you don't. Google it.

Yeah your clutch is seeing more load in higher gears.. Mainly because the engine is working against the car's wind resistance and if your clutch isn't up to par then it becomes the driveline's weak link.

Correct. Because due to the fact that 1st gear is numerically higher than than say 3rd or 4th, thus takes less Hp to move the car because its multiplying the torque output. In the higher gears there is more load on the clutch because the tranny is transferring more rwhp to the tires (Hence why they dyno cars in 4th (or whatever 1:1 is) because the ratio is lower.

Thats why on some serious race clutches they have increasing clamping force as the rpms increase. Mcleod sells them. Expensive.

to simplify....less mechanical advantage = more slippage, picture a 800# weight strapped to a pulley system and its 10' in the air...1st gear would mean pulley system is at 20:1, you will pull 20' of chain to lift that weight 1' and itll be easy to do. 4th gear would mean its at 1:1...you would be able to apply force, but eventually the chain will slip through your hands or you will be 10' in the air and the weight will be on the ground.

I don't get why they are so pricey. its not like centrifical clutches are some new technology.

exactly why you do 4th/5th gear, WOT romps, on a used car test drive if its a manual.

Ok, I said my clutch was slipping on the launch on the motor and in higher gears on the spray. I didnt launch on the spray, but I assume it would slip there too........ I dont see what is so confusing about this.

It did NOT slip in 1st on the motor once moving. JUST ON THE LAUNCH. REREAD WHAT I WROTE.

about fucking time...after we have coached you on what actually happens, you now make a feasable lie. you can now proceed on to the next excuse..cmon, make it good, like something along the lines of you not being able to tune the car because the O2 sensors were bad..
