MR2 a Honda and a GT Stang

Once I get my low gears installed I will be very interested in doing dead stop starts again. It will be nice to see how I compare against the same people like MR 2 and 300zx and other challengers both before and after repairs and mods are completed.

Had fun though, hope to see you get your car running better.

Don't mean to be rude but, I put 6+ cars on you from a roll and more from a stop even after a slowed down to wait for you to catch up in first. I think you will need more than gears to keep up. However you should be able to take Jay with a good launch.

Knowing how people like to keep their secrets on this board, its the reason why I have only stated I'll be getting some "mods". I'll at least admit to the fact that I will be able to run 25 lbs of boost again once they are completed.
Once I get my car back from the shop you may still be able to beat me, but it will neat to see what happens when we are both able to run the same amount of boost. Since we both had a fun time last time, hopefully the next time around will be even more so.

Chismoe---It was far from an elite crowd. Most of the cars there were Mustangs with exhaust, with a few 12 second cars thrown in the mix. I saw quite a few 14 second cars that were slower than me... as a matter of fact I beat 2 V8 cars.
I was invited there, and I will continue to go any time I get bored. I don't hang out with "ricers", so I don't see the problem with me showing up, by myself, to run a couple of people. What are they gonna do... spank me?

Be sure though...almost all of those cars were faster than 14 seconds. More like mostly 13 and 12's with a few 11's stuck in the mix.

Also, the only time I saw someone getting "rude" was when a nice long line of imports rolled in. If you were in that line, you were not alone. Doesn't make much difference to me who shows up where but knowing that most of those don't like imports no matter how fast they are, why would you want to go there anyway? It is unfortunate for those import drivers who do not cause trouble that you drive the same kinds of cars that the ricer punks do. Cops tend to follow long lines of imports and that's why you don't get welcomed whe you roll in. Not fair maybe but not much in life is fair.

Dr Dirt---The guy that invited me drives a domestic. I met him at Bradenton when I beat his friend's C4 and he told me to look for him at "the spot".
Also, a "domestic guy" brought the group of 3000gt/Stealths there last month. He also has an import "sports sedan" that he happened to be in that night, but he's usually in his domestic.
I didn't come with the group of "ricers" that rolled up. I came alone(with my girlfriend). Also, I wouldn't consider a plain-looking Stealth a rice car. Sure it's made in Japan, but it has no stereotypical rice mods and it will hang with or outrun a lot of V8 cars.
I race at Bradenton and occasionally I get bored and drive around hitting stoplights, but I don't hang out with groups of "ricers".
That's only the 2nd time I've been to "the spot" and I was invited both times. Funny thing is, I also have a '69 Plymouth Valiant and 2 small block chevy drag cars. I guess I should leave the Stealth at home and take the Valiant next time, huh?
Chismoe---Like I said above, one of their own people invited the 3000gt/Stealth group, so...
I don't plan on going there every week because I usually try to stay out of "cop traps", but if I get bored I'll go there to hang out and run a few people. I already surprised two of them.
Thanks for the info.

I enjoyed it alot.. i prefer hanging out there and watching what goes on to going home after the TR get togethers.. and i might do again one night if permitted..
i dont want to be involved in poluting their spot with elements they dont want so i am very discreet about it.
hmm.. maybe I shoulda traded the WRX on that 03 Cobra when I was thinking about it.. just so i can hang with the cool kids ?..hehe
Well, I don't know who the mystery friend of the C4 was but he was probably a non-member who may post or just hangs with Badrap. If you can come up with a name or a screen name, I'll check it out. The other one who you're talking about is I assume Jeff who used to have an Eclipse but now drives a black '01 Cobra. Neither he nor 4VChick are members of Badrap either. They post on the board and hang out sometimes. I like both of them and have no problem with either one. Matter of fact, I think they're pretty nice people, but, they have no right to invite anyone to Badrap's spot speaking as Badrap. So, like I said before, I can't think of any Badrap member who would invite an import out to their spot.
Like I said, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me but to most of Badrap, it does. And yes you may not consider a stock looking stealth that is pretty fast to be rice, but most of them do. It shouldn't be a secret to anyone that Badrap is a RWD domestic only club..with a couple of grandfathered in exceptions. So it should come as no surprise to you or anyone that you won't be welcomed with open arms if you show up at their spot driving an import. If you want to get unbored and go there, yes, bring the Valiant.
There are plenty of domestics on this board if you want to try your luck...and a lot of them either post on Badrap or are members. I'm one of 'em. Personally, I've been on this board as long as I've been on Badrap...probably a little longer. This is where I found out about Badrap. I'm a dues paying member there but I still check in here too. I just don't post that much over here.
I'm not trying to give you or anyone else a ration of crap here but just tryng to drop a word to the wise. If you get invited to a Badrap get together and you drive an import, check the credentials of who is inviting you before you go or else you might be disappointed in your welcome...which is apparently what happened in your case.

I appreciate all the info. You are probably correct about the guy that invited me. I seriously doubt he's a Badrap member. He didn't mention it was "badrap's spot". He just told me to look for him out there and bring the Stealth so I could run some people, whch I did. I was totally ignorant of the fact that I was stepping into you guys' litter box.
As for the guy that invited the 3000gt/Stealth group last month, he is an older guy (mid/late 30's) with a yellow 94-95 GT stroked to a 347. He aso has a '02 Altima that he was in the night when he 3000's came. His son has a 99-up Stang with gears and *probably* more.
He met up with us at Gandy and escorted us out there.
Like I said, I won't be going there often because I don't make a habit of "premeditated" street racing, but I'm too stubborn to just turn tail and run because someone doesn't like the car I'm in. If I go there in the future and anyone has a problem w/ a FWD car they can feel free to voice their opinion. I promise I won't cry.
Thanks again for all the info.

As Zate posted above we had an invite from Robert and still I didn't feel that comfortable with my car there, since that night I have shown up a couple times in my truck, and will probably continue to do so until my next project comes together.
