And I dont have an LT5 I wish I did but I dont. I have a LT4with LT5 heads.
I just thought yall would take it that i have a DOHC LT4 which I do and not have to list every mod i did to my engine.
But, i guess i underestimated that there would be some knowledgable people on LT based engines.
I havent overplayed any of what i have said or written so far except, maybe the race but that was to make it more dramatic (cus i didnt actually hear his turbo behind me cus my exhaust is so loud.)

And this was only my third race in the car with the new engine and the first time on this forum. Next time Ill tell ya about the Dual Turbo Whatever that I pwned or maybe the all motor Civic out there that runs 8s and can beat me.

 

man i feel bad for this guy, he posted something saying he beat a sti, that was trying to mess with him, and everybody jumps on him. that is why this site sucks, or atleast certain threads on here, this guy built this car for his own enjoyment and you people are killing it, wtf do any of you care.

and i gues nobody has heard of a zr1 corvette, that motor is straight out of one well basically, and jsut like he said yes you can swap the 4v heads to a push rod engine, what you think gm did.

i like his car and give him props on building a sick ass all motor vett and a old one at that, i bet that thing is pretty dam fast, probably traps over 130. and i know there are lots of fast cars out there but i want to see a 4cyl honda that is that fast drive it every day, i bet it will not last a week,

 

It was a WRX or so he said... Maybe this all could have been delivered alot differently than being cocky about it and claiming to have the car to end all. I backed off hence I started reading about the LT5, but I still have difficulty finding literature that supports DOHC heads on a pushrod engine. The block design might have been close to the LT4 specs, but not even the zr-1 registry and mercury marine could state they used an LT4 short block to start the design of the LT5. They came as close to indicate some similarities to the L98 short block's design. That was it.

I dont feel bad for the guy... If he's able to sling the shit out, he must be able to take it back in too...

*note* I better keep a look out for that blue shark... I'm sure he'll be lurking around Riverview looking for scooby one day...

And I wasnt even looking for a race if i wanted i coulda gone to 160mph and left the guy. But, I dont like street racing I almost got arrested for it once thats why I stopped at 90 at the next light. I never even talked shit he came to me for a race.
I mean do yall want me to have a bumper sticker saying only cars built for men should try me? That'd actually be pretty cool.

And about the kit for the LT4 head retro.
Just look at any higher end boat with Mercury Marine LT5 engine and you will find it in 90% of all boats made in 94-98
Or call them and asked to anybody in their parts or used parts departments, get a knowledgeable guy and he will know.

And the only reason i know of it is because my grandpa blew up his Mercruiser's LT4 conversion motor and had to get a hold of them to get a drop in replacement.

 

And Hey, I dont think you have so and such done to your car so post pics and print me out a full parts list so i can research whether or not your able to feel manly driving a car, albeit a AWD Hairdrier, with a half a real engine in it.

Its funny how many Rex owners I pissed off. I mean look down the list there is a guy talking about how he beat a Stingray. Im not jumping his case about how it isnt possible. I mean he should beat a Stingray they have 180-220 horse smogged up 350 in em. Next time ill talk about the Beamer guys i have yet to beat or the Skyline guys or both at the same time so i can have them all head hunt me at once.

 

I say we all stuff our faces with leftover Turkey and head out to TRack Event 19 on November 24th where we can beat the shit out of our rides and have fun! There we can see what we all have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into!

First off bud, find where I have posted ever on TR on me street racing on the forum. That's cause I have no need to post whatever car I beat or get beat by on the roads. Its pointless. Next, I know what cars I will play with, and which I wont. I'm realistic, not a fool. I give props where props are due, and I laugh at those who think they have something, when in fact they have nothing. So... I will restate that I'm backing off, considering that I have admitted learning more about the LT5 engine (which it is in fact a great engine) I too owned bow ties in my life, but opted to have something that is tunable and fun to handle/drive. As I can see here, you like the straight line racing... I'm more of a road racing type of driver. I'm willing to think that I can give your blue monster a good run for your money on a road course... any day. And finally, there is nothing better than AWD... in the rain, in the dry or the dirt... But that is just my belief. I know what yours are.

Listen kid, try being more humble next time instead of putting out childish threads on how you are the "destroyer of all ricers". Maybe this thread wouldn't have transpired to what it has today.

 

well you could drive it every day if you wanted to, unlike most high hp 4 cyl car, try getting a stand alone car to be daily driveable not too much fun,
i love sti's i eat them for luch every time i see one i have yet to see a fast one on the street, not saying my car is all that fast or anything but i have yet to see a fast scuby,

he was talking mad shit, like no one can touch him, but thats typical for someone his age, 19 years old. so if i posted a thread talking shit about all the flaws with domestic cars(there are domestic ricers too), you would be on my side as well? there are plenty of cars on this site, both import and domestic that would spank this guy.

and who drives a 10 second car everyday? weather they have import or domestic, not many are going to drive a 10 second car everyday, and both are going to break easily. have you even been to the track? jerry has been racing that 9 second mirage for like 10 years, jason and ron both have civics that run low 10's, and they've been racing them for years. this is why i left the domestic scene after the marine corps, because of dumbass, close minded, holier-than-thou, domestic drivers(not all, just the young ones). i respect all fast cars, and dont dog on people like you children, because of the car someone drives, or the size of their motor. refer to my sig.
