I've only ran modded 03 cobras pushing well over the stock setup. I don't think you can pull 5-6 car lengths on them but I wasn't there so good kill . Ok.. Lets clear something up.. What mods do you have? If you are a stock automatic LS1 I would think you ran into some poor driving 03 Cobra guys. It looks like you have a 00' LS1 at that so you are down even more horsepower than the 01's and 02's. I have seen many 02 LS1 comparisons against the 03 Cobra and the Cobra always win stock for stock. It takes a good amount of weight reduction for a 290rwhp car to beat a 365 to 370rwhp car.

 

stangs do give up a little top end power just due to some aerodynamics...i know i kept up with a 380R from a 60 roll when i was making 322/375 to the wheels.

 

I do not know if this will help this conversation but Zac has a car that has mods. I'll let him tell you what they are if he chooses. On the other hand traction is his biggest enemy right now. That and the fact that he is quite cocky. Will look to see you guys battle it out at the track next wed should you guys decide to race.

 

If Zack has mods and he raced a STOCK 03 Cobra then I can only see this post as a taunt to the 03 Cobras... Deacon we are not talking about the avg 380R. Looking at your dyno #'s you have more tq than a 380R and tq moves the vehicle. I can vouch for 03 Cobras having top end. I have raced many and rode with John and his 03 Cobra rides out. Running 123mph in the 1/4th on regular street tires means you have top end..

 

we keep hearing his car is modded but 8.5 in the 1/8 isnt that impressive for a modded ls1 in my opinion. Ive seen plenty do that stock. I just have a hard time believing you put that many cars on him in such a short distance. On paper the cars may be close with the advantage going to the cobra, but even being close you wont reel off 4-5 cars in such a short burst.

well if he put 3 or more cars on a STOCK 03 cobra and he is claiming he has major traction problems.....then that cobra must of been sidewayz runing at a roll . Hard to believe and would rather see this shit in person. Any stock 03 cobras out there still? MOst likely not .
