Alright, so I am up in Gainesille today for the Pro Street bike shot-out at Gainesville raceway and things are just moving too slow so I jet out of the track. On my way back down to waldo road, I have a new Cobra come up on the side of me and give me a rev, he is stick and I am automatic.... we both floor it. we went from a 55-60 MPH roll. I had him by 3-4 car lengths by the time we hit 90mph. 5-6 by 100 and then I let off. Was this guy a crapy driver or do the new Cobras really lack midrange horsepower? I am just curious because I have a few things done to my car but I figured we would be pretty close. I run about an 8.5 1/8 mile time. This is the second Cobra that I beat this bad. What is the dealio???

 

Also, that 1/8 mile time is on street tires. I roast them off the line all the way through first like a Turkey at Thanksgiving.

 

if it was an 03 or 04 cobra i call major bs. you sure it wasnt a v6 with a cobra bumper?

hey asshat. I seriously doubt you can pull 3-4cars on an 03 or 04 cobra. It would most likely be the other way around. And your car is not fast. 8.5 in the 1/8? big fuckin deal.. I ran that on my OLD setup. 8.5@84.8. Your car is quick.. Al's car is a fast car.

03 cobras sure trap faster than 105. What was your trap speed in the 1/8th zac? Nice kill btw.

 

i guess if your spinning alot that would equate for the high ET, i was door to door with an 03 that had x pipe and exhaust, from what i have seen they trap around 108-112

 

I think 86-87. My tires just spin. He is not the first Cobra that I beat but I still think those things are pretty bad-ass for being stock and that fast. I am not putting them down or saying that my car is fast. If you read the post I am asking what they usually run.. I just hear about these new cobras running mid 12s stock and I cannot even do that. How could they possibly run those numbers?
