I don't doubt you Flounder. They are a lot of car and if you make a mistake they don't compensate for you. No TC, no AS, no ABS until 01, no cupholder, no heated seats, shitty stereo. Just a bigass motor with a shitload of torque, a great suspension and bigass wheels.

Oh, and they're pretty too.

Dodge built exactly what they said they were going to build. For anyone to complain about them means they didn't do their homework.


Dan, 96 was the year the HP was bumped to 450. There is no significant difference if any, in 1/4 time from 96 to 02. The popularity of the 96-99 years was the rough idle cam as well as the overall roughness of the car. Exactly what Viper purists want.

However, starting with 00 the suspension was upgraded and much easier to drive, particularly noticable on a track. The motor was also "smoothed" out.

 

Nope, have to disagree Chuck with agreeing with Flounder. There is no denying a Viper or a Vette(and many others as well). Just people who like to go against the grain, but inside know they would take one in a heart beat, no pun intended. Both cars are pure sex and in complete factory trim would, could, have rape many a mass produced vehicles.

 

Good kills Billy, am I the only one that finds the Viper ugly? It's too damn big and they sound like delivery trucks. They are impressive, but would rather have a C5 and start from there.

But you are correct about the exhaust. Dodge should have put a bolt in muffler on them instead of welded. Stock they sound like shit. Dodge heard the complaints though and the 03 sounds good.

Did the guy in the viper know he was racing? or did you just think you where racing? A wrx don't stand a chance in hell of beating a viper... Now if you had said (i raced a srt4) i think you might of had a chance....maybe...
