what exactly is the 2v mod motor? typical 2 valve in a truck? now im really lost//

 

The GT has the 2v motor as well. The Mach 1 has a 4v motor and the Cobra has a 4v motor with a blower.

That's the reason why we kind of jumped on you. The Mach 1 motor is considerably different from the one in the GT.

 

its still an OHC motor just with 2 valves per cylinder instead of 4

 

got it.. i felt that coming on, i never necessarily noticed that the motor was different, i just thought that the HP was dumped up..

is the 32 valve motor significantly better in one way or another.. i dont necessarily mean power, but hows about delivery, power curve.... you know,, the basics

 

This is my first mod motor so I'm not as versed as some people. I can tell you that the motor in my Mach 1 is different from any of the other N/A 4v's that Ford has produced before it in that it makes very good low end torque. In the '96-'01 N/A 4v's they made peak torque at like 6000 rpms which doesn't help much for low end acceleration. I have never been more impressed with a car straight from the factory than I am with this excluding the Viper I've driven. The 4v's heads flow incredibly as well and really don't need much done to them. From what I've read they flow as good or better then most of the high end pushrod heads even after some port work.
