When the ACO changed its car regulations for the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans, Jean-Louis Château came up with this Porsche 930 Turbo to take advantage of it.



The 930 Turbo wears bodywork from a Porsche 3.0 RSR and a 934. The front and rear wings came from the RSR. The front and rear spoiler cames from the 934. At the time, it also had a twin-turbo engine, but today’s version only has a single turbo. How did Château do? With co-drivers Dominique Fornage and Jean-Claude Geurie, they retired during the seventh hour of the 24-hour affair.



A few years after the Le Mans race, the car burned down to the ground. In 2021, it was rebuilt with a donor car under the guidance of Sébastien Crubilé, of Crubilé Sport, with input from his close friend Château.
