Default Best tune for 1.8t?????

I am getting ready to have my car tuned/flashed and I am wondering who has had the best luck with the three companies in thinking about? Obviously APR is one I am thinking about, but I'm worried that the stage 1(all they offer the turbo s beetle) will not be enough. Giac is the second one but I'm not able to find very much info on the actual gains (HP/TQ wise). Then Unitronic is the one I am leaning towards just because they offer stage 1-2+ plus Big turbo tunes. So guess my question is just to get some feedback from people who have these tunes and pros and cons of the tune?

Thanks

I personally dont have a favorite software but I ran GIAC X+ on my 1.8T when it was swapped into my golf. Are there other companies that make more power? Maybe. Would the normal person notice the +/- 5hp difference between the companies? Doubtful. If you want local, I recommend Justin at Urotuning had me in and out in 30-45min. Good dude, great service.

Your best bet for decent pricing is to tell Justin that I (Magoo/Chris) referred you.

K03s. Word from the wise, dont waste your money on any K04, E05, or any kit that utilizes any sort of stock-like manifold/turbo set-up. If you want a bigger turbo and appropriate software down the road, Id suggest getting an aftermarket manifold with a T3 flange and a T3 flanged turbo (would be easier to recommend a turbo with powergoals and how much lag you can handle). If you're going to spend the money and time, dont waste it. As for software, unitronics has the most options (or atleast used to) for a "legitimate" big turbo system. But it couldnt hurt to see if Urotuning can accommodate your future BT plans.
