haha thanks for the shout Blake!!!! Man am I glad to see my build end up in the hands of an enthusiast lol I was soo disappointed with the hands that it went through. I literally built this car from the ground up, swap and all lol even though I see you're kinda having to as well. Anyways, it looks amazing! Here are some pics for kicks.

now I drive this....

P.S. I'll be glad to take that s3 cluster off your hands if its still works...

the cluster works, but i always had a coolant light, i replaced all my coolant components at the same time of the cluster, so im not sure if it was the cluster itself or not. and HOLY CRAP what did the kid do to the car?! i didnt know it was that clean before haha. and yes im having to redo EVERYTHING so far.

plans are once the engine gets timing and a headgasket, transmission comes next, id love to get a longer fifth gear so that i can go above 60 on the highway without spooling the whole time haha. Also looking into places to get it painted, going back with a white. not sure what version of white i want to do yet! i wish i had got the car in its previous state haha would be much more fun

true, well shared_pm me with how much you want for it, im currently down in miami. yea, i dont know what happened to it lol i didnt want to let it go, but as you can see it was for a clean mk2 vrt. definitely do the headspacer and all the arp bolts, riding at a daily 15-20psi is amazing lol the tranny will need help under that power though. i put a stg2 clutch in her when i had her. i have an lsd and a stg5 clutch in my mk2 and hold 20psi all day lol and the fifth gear, im with ya on that one, i need to do so myself. i hear the tdi fifths are the way to go. i absolutely love white cars, so thats an awesome choice. as i said though, she looks great and im glad someone's caring for her! you can definitely appreciate building the car all over again though. hope to see her around!

latest update! got the tan rear seats mounted in, will get a pic later today when i work on my brakes. Have some new performance rotors and pads coming, as well as all new door handle gaskets! did the suede on the headliner and got that mounted too. heres a few pics for now of what i just worked on.

Hating the guage on my steering column, and the lack of my cd player... I figured i would improvise. Instead of spending 50 bucks on a premade 4 guage plate, I took an old front doorcard from a tan cabrio, and cut the speaker plastic assembly apart and got a 10.5 x 7.5 flat plastic piece. measured out my four spots and cut them out! have many blisters on my fingers haha heres the start

got them all cut out and cleaned up and then onto the same tan suede that i wrapped my kneebars with

here it is mounted

not bad for free and some time just need to get a new steering column plastic to replace mine and move the boost guage over to the remaining spot and then wire up everything once my new bulbs and wires for them come in! many pics to come in a little whileee
