honestly im not sure, ive had a weird idle problem since day 1 actually.

all my air/fuel ratios are spot on while driving, decel, accel, wot, etc.

if i am sitting in traffic, or at idle in the heat, i can watch my Air/fuel ratio start leaning out to about 18, and then itll bog down real quick and almost rev itself back up and then settle to an air/fuel of about 13.5-15. give it another minute or so and itll start leaning out, bog down and rev back up

i havent been able to figure out what it is, so i figured its either A - the maf being bad/getting heat soaked at idle and throwing a bad reading
or B, the TPS is bad and it is having a hard time finding out where it is sitting

p.s. if its a cold night, ill never have the problem and the car will idle perfectly.

any input? haha

When my TPS went out on my VR and 2.0 the symptoms would be i would stop my idle would be super rough. it would bog way down then jump way up to 2k. i would have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running or it would eventually stall out. As soon as i got a new throttle body good to go. Sounds like TPS but did you clean your MAF at all?

I wasn't either when I replaced mine. Then after driving it for a week it became real.

this things a pain in the ass!

ive got about 300 miles done so far on the break in, and today two things happened.

first, the over-center spring for the clutch pedal popped out, tried to reinstall it but came to find that the firewall side of the spring, where it sits into a little plastic piece, has broken the plastic piece. so now i need to find the little piece that installs on the firewall and holds the end of the spring........ anyone know where to find one online? id hate to have to take one out of a car.

also, hit a nice bump while coming home from groceries, and my rear strut blew out. had to leave mike on the side of the road so i could make it home with just the groceries and not blow my tire out haha

so i guess im ordering suspension!

the maf and throttle body fixed my idle problem though!
