I understand, and I thought that was clear in my rant. I guess it wasn't.

The problem is VW was always a low to midrange market car company, now they are trying to move up market, but that is not what the core VW owners want. VW needs to bring the polo or lupo and get in on the small car market right now. They put a lot of fetures in their cars that I could care less about, I think I need to move to europe so I can get the cars I want.

You actually enjoy driving stripped down basic transportation? Even the Evo and STI, as stripped down as they claim to be, have stuff like Sat radio and 1-touch windows and power seats and headlight washers and HID lighting and airbags all over. Hell the new Nissan GT-R is gonna have 4-wheel steering. How nessesary is that, really? I don't care how fast my car goes or how good it handles, if I have to sweat my ass off to enjoy it, I don't want it. Bells and whistles are here to stay because unfortunately the mass market of car buyers doesn't give a damn about racing performance. It's just not profitable to build a car w/ minimal features so a few people can afford it and still make it a good enough platform to be able to build up to perform well. Want low cost? Buy a KIA or low end Toyota. Want power above all else? Buy Nissan, Mitsu, Subi, or Porsche. Want power, handling, and also be able to get the luxury for the evening out for the Aniversary/Hot date? Buy VW, Audi, Mercedes, BMW.

Maybe I should limit my posts to 1 or 2 lines so the basic folks can read them. Too much to read, indeed!!!

I'm not trying to be a jerk. That's really not my intent. You have to look at this from my viewpoint when some of these posts are put up. If some one's post is "too long to read" then instead of giving me the impression that you only read the funny papers because they are short enough, just don't say anything. Now I'm gonna have a hard time respecting your opinion regardless of how you feel about me.
But really, I'm just amazed by some of the short posts that are put up because someone just HAS to respond w/ something!!

Don't take it to hard. Some ppl just don't like to read. They learn better if its spoken to them.

Yes, I honestly could care less if any car I own has a radio, HID's, power seats, sunroof, ETC. But in today's car market it is impossible to get what I want because the general public of fat lazy americans has ruined it for everyone else.

actually the new EOS is not yet available and they won't be till late this year early next year. a few dealerships have 1 for a display demo but they are not for sale yet, but you can put a deposit on on if you please. its two major competetors are the convertible G6 and the C70. if your wondering how i know this then the answer is because i work at the dealership.
