hey guys im looking to buy a Gti turboed between now and jan 1st. I want to sell/trade my focus. Do you about how much one would be with 55,000 miles. I want a 5speed

Fuck the nay sayers, a turbo kit = more tq than most V8s on 1.8Ts. They are beastly...a small 4cyl making more tq than engines 3x their size...
Get a chip no matter what you do to get better mileage and 50HP or so. Theres a GT28RS kit out for A4's and B5's (Passats and Audi's) that makes 295 AWHP and 328 AWTQ, so image what it would do on a 2WD 5spd. The kit wont work for GTis, but if you use the same stuff... then you are looking at ~12s at least in a good daily driver.

And the S in "GT28RS" is for "quick spool" so the application is still practical. You'll love never having to drive that slow ass Focus everyday. I know I hated it

Do your homework about what has more potential, but honestly, if you like the 1.8t, then get it. I personally would wait and get a Golf V with the 2.0t FSI motor.
Actually, good idea. I forgot about that new 2.0T...based off of the 1.8(T) which VW has had for years apparently, direct fuel injection (better gas mileage and performance) better turbo blah blah blah

i would get the 2.0 or the R32 the only thing that is stopping me is $$$. i like the 1.8 over the Vr6 because you only need to get the chip and its good keeping up with the evos. its cheaper on gas,and insurance
