i was looking to buy a GTi and i wanted it to be turbo...so is that any GTi? or just the 1.8t or the VR6 or what? I appreciate it..

keep in mind the turbo on the 1.8T(urbo) is a very small turbo (k03 equipped with 150hp [2000] or k03 sport hybrid equipped with 180hp [2001-2003]). it's not very quick. stock, the VR6 is quicker. just thought i'd let you know.

1.8t is far easily upgradable over the vr6 and power gains from boltons are far greater get a 1.8t chip it and school a vr6 :o)

chips for the 1.8t are from $350-$800. that only gives you about 15hp. (and with the coilpack problem, chips have become a problem esp. the APR from what i've heard).

supposedly there's a company now in sarasota (i believe) that does rom tuning for VW's which would probably be a better investment.

another better investment is a full 3" exhaust + 3" downpipe.

if you really want to go far the stock sidemount intercoolers are shit and become heat-soaked VERY quickly investing in a front mount would do you good.
