It was a surprise to come across my film on the You Tube! I directed Route 66 back in 1985. As Dylan has it, 'It was like a dump truck to unload my head'. The film was originally broadcast on the ITV network in the United Kingdom and reached number one in the documentary charts. 12.5 million people tuned in the night it was first broadcast. Wonderful to find it is still viewed and appreciated 30 years later. It was a privilege to make my own statement about a country I love and that has given me so much.
