kind of like the rwd 10.5 cars that run 6s with a controlled spin half way down the track?

I dont recall ever seeing a 10.5 car spin all the way down the track, that actually sounds incredibly dangerous, but ok...

Most of the 10.5 cars are dead hooking on those little tires... Just look at their ET's and traps... They're hooking... I know a LOT more than just Hondas... Trust me...

none of those cars dead hook
they have a controlled spin that catapults them forward

theres actually plently of articles about how dangerous it is becasue these high hp cars on little tires are getting so quick

Thats not quite the same. Those cars are spinning, but they are putting enough power down to accelerate the car HARD.

The same goes for the NMRA SSO (super street outlaw) cars. they are putting down 1600-2000 HP on a tiny 26x10.5x15 (for the power and performance).

Those cars spin all the way down the track, but it's a controlled spin.
It has been a while since I followed the class, but a few years ago they were running mid 7's around 180. Spinning or not, they are getting traction enough to run the time.

Running a low 13 @ 130 is truly not getting traction and wasting power and momentum. He used traction as an excuse. A B.S excuse at that.

Actually they're not dead hooking, He had posted about the 10.5 cars while I was SLOWLY typing lol.

Its whay they always called the SSO clas "the 10 inch tire freakshow!"

Now they ones running 10.5W's (actually a 12" wide tire), lay it down better. Most 10.5 outlaw cars run on W's. NMRA never allowed the W and required a true 10.5" slick (atleast they used to, I have not followed the class in a couple years). I think they may have combined that and the DR class which are now running in the 6's @ 200+
