Cop speeding with no lights on hits and kills 10 year old boy.

I tend to see cops speeding around with out lights/sirens alot here in St.pete. I think that should be illegal if it already isn't. I dont see how its possible for them to be able to break the law when they are doing nothing but driving around town. Lights or sirens is one thing (especially if they need to be some where quick) but if they dont have one or the other on then they need to follow the rules like every one else. They are not above the law.... Especially since we are the ones paying for they're fucking gas...
It also pisses me off when I see officers being impatient so the flick the lights on when at a stop light and drive though the intersection and continue on there way like there is nothing going on. Its not like they are on call either, they just dont want to sit at the light. I've been seeing a lot more of this lately and I find it really irritating.

so don't assume that cops just flick their lights on to go through a red light, they are usually going to a call that requires some urgency but does not require lights and sirens. I hate when people are uneducated with the workings of law enforcement are quick to jump to conclusions.

a cop gave me a ride home one night after my car broke down. he did between 80 mph and 100mph for the 10 miles through the middle of town. it was around 1am in a 30mph zone and he had no lights going. he did click them on for around 5 seconds when he passed 2 parked cops taking radar.
i was happy for the ride but i really didn't like going through town that fast.

fuckin cops are getting way out of hand lately man they speed around everywhere
it used to be when you see a cop you dont pass him and you stay right with him doing the speed limit but now every time i see one they are flying ahead of everyone
just the other day i had a cop come up on me and ride my tail as i was doing the speed limit, then accelerate by me within 3 inches of the right of my car as if trying to show off or something. i wanted to swerve into the bitch
we then got to a stop light and he didnt turn on his lights and go through so he wasnt on call

"Person in the middle of a 4 lane road, at night, with no lights is killed by a speeding car."
That's all that matters.
* The car was speeding. Doesn't matter who it was, but they should be dealt with appropriately.
* That the kid was 10 is completely irrelevant. If the kid had been 16, none of you would have the comments about the parents, yet it would still 100% as tragic.

^the kid couldve been 5 or 90, u shouldnt be in the middle of the road riding a bike on a 4-5 lane road at NIGHT and not be careful...the cop didnt have lights on but he has headlights.....ppl to blame list from most blame to least: parents, cop, kid

kid was retarded, 10y/o's cant fit on a fullsize bike, thats why he was swerving. No reason a 10y/o should be crossing a 5 lane road in the daytime, let alone at night.

1. Hmm...well that would never happen in Florida since the po-po here make u ride at night with lights on your bike.
