dont just go removing or replacing parts yet, cats might not be clogged, dont go buy a new one.. Just run it straight pipe, but then no shop will want to do work on your car for exhast. You might find someone to do it under the table.. run the car till it gets warm, see if that cat gets cherry red..

A clogged cat wont make it idle that high, check timming/tps

umm i do believe if a cat. is clogged or almost clogged it will create more backpressure which in turn the car would make the car either dye or idel high situation dependant. now the rotten egg smell that he states is coming from his exhaust is usually the inners of the cat. getting really hot and basically cooking itself.

i do however agree not to go buy on yet and that was why i said get rid of it and run a straight pipe.

OMG he has a face!

You can always just take the cat out and look at it. Personally, I don't think that's the problem. Sounds like you're running too rich, which is what's contributing to the backfires. You need to check you timing, and make sure that all of your AEM intake couplings are tight. That's just a start. A used MAFS is ~$40. Nissan's don't have MAP sensors.

There should be a hose or 2 coming from the intake pipe near the throttle. Tell me where they go. It looks like there might be a problem there, but its hard to tell in the video.
