I am bringing a Bone stock z06 to the track on sunday. So you ladies can quit bench racing and come show up. And there have been several z06s hitting 11's stock.. go to www.z06vette.com and look around. they are out there. And that is bone stock as in paper airfilter and stock tires.. stock as in stock. I have only had the car for less than a week so i havent had much time to mod it. so come get you some stock z06 while you think you can still beat it.. And you cannot make 600hp on the stock sr reliable. it can make that hp but not for very long at all. Just cuz it can hit the number once or twice doesnt mean it is reliable. Come out and race on sunday and have a good time instead of bench racing behind your keyboard

 

More power to you, i would be more then happy to come save for right now the vr-4 is sitting in the drive not turning over with a nail in one of the proxes t1-s. I'll be more than happy to run you when you get some mods, and i get mine fixed/tuned. Not talking shit by any means, but would be a good race considering i ran a 12.51 last visit and have since slapped on dsm sidemounts 33% bigger cores and soon to install a 1 piece carbon fiber drive shaft from pst in clearwater(anyone whos looking for ds's including custom ones check them out, the craft work on it in unbeievable www.pstds.com ) so if you can break 11's stock, i should be knocking around a 12.3 on a perfect run so should be a walking. Once again not talking shit, im seldomly on tr so pm me in ~ a month and we'll set something up.

Sorry but i go by what i see at the track, and even take a look at z06vette.com organise by times, how come some drivers have an uber list of mods and cut a 12.0 flat, but theres a guy that claims to have run an 11.99 stock....dont know seems a bit farfetched..how come some guys have to dump thousands into the z06 to run the same time as Bill over here that ran. Understand that your claimed 12.4 is a professional driver...so and even more skilled then a professional driver, bought the car and shaved off half a second....doubtful. I know theres a margin for error...but not half a second. Also.

as of right now the car is running the same setup, but with a different block. the compression was raised but thats all i will say, ask me in person if you want to know more. and to the question to how reliable a stock sr making 600hp is, with tuning it will last for a good time, but you are right, it will never last as long as a v8. come on it is a 4 cylinder. but i do think some respect should be given. not to many 4s can do that.
i am not a very big person on tr, i rarely get to a computer so i dont get on to often. but if you see me and my car out, come up and shoot the shit. i would more rather personally conversate about cars than have everyone getting off topic and adding un-needed imput on a website. i will no longer post in this thread.
