Consider this: do they make the engines smaller: because of lack of engineering? or because: in JAPAN they have stricter POLLUTION LAWS.... smaller streets, and streets with more turns that straight aways? So therefore you get a smaller car with, higher MPG, performance based, designed for longivity, and style. It makes perfect sense...
THEY DO MAKE V8's YOU MORON. What are you trying to say NOW. That the V8's they produce put out less HP because of pollution laws? Of course those laws do not apply here in the US as they only have to meet US standards.

Japan makes very good cars... that keep up with nearly any US car... boosted, sprayed, blown, whatever.... and with fewer cylinders....just admit that you have issues with Japan not the cars... youre a racist... not a critic
Now you just are being a troll. Oh and I believe the Dodge neon is made here in the US and it outperforms EVERYTHING in its price range.

NOW make a AMERICAN engine VTECH say 5.0 mustang (what does that come out to?... hell make a viper VTECH... if youre so good at math.... (ill do it for you) 450 hp/8 liters = 56.25/per liter 2004 honda civic Vtech 160hp/2liters = 80/per liter... now lets take those figure and make a VIPER VTECH shall we... we take number of liters multiply by (per liter HP ratio) = 640... there is the math in black and white... and the VIPER is the fastest production 1/4 car... not some special calloway vette, saleen mustang, superduper SS (whatever) the average, majority, nearly all of them american muscle car motor is extremely ineffeicent... #of cylinders, liters, weight, horsepower... and lets not talk about...he/said/she/said... show me FACTS...not your opinion... thanks alot billybob!

if you knew half as much as you think...you might be smart.... there is a gentlemans agreement over there about HP production.. look it up... why are nearly all of their cars near 300 hp out of the box? hmmmmmm look it up...

Nissan skyline 290
300ZTT 290-300
3000Gt VR4 300-320
SupraTT 300ish

you dont know anything about it? and you call me DUMB?

Yes japan makes smaller cars because of everything I listed before.... yes... there laws are much stricter than ours...yes.. what dont you get?

This is my final post... I guess this mean I won seeing as how nobody could come up with an agrument to dis-count anything I said... everything I listed is fact.. not my opinion... and everyone came back with..."that's not true my sister's brother's uncle buddy ran a stock 5.0 (N20, exhaust, 90G turbo) and ran a 12....

I would stay if any of you could come back with a good arguement..rather than name calling and misreading everything I write... and/or just not understanding it... I dunno

WEll it's been fun/funny see you all out sometime... keep that N20 handy...never know when you'll need it (with that inefficient V

Idiot!!! it has to do with insurance. Keeping the HP around 300 HP allows people to buy them without getting raped by insurance companies. "Gentlemen's Agreement" What a tool you are.

If you think you WON this argument then you just did the typical "ricer flyby"

When everything you say is invalid it's hard to counter argue.

I cant just sit here and read this stupid bullshit........HP per liter isnt important if you dont have enough liters!!!! for example...........100 HP per liter with 2 liters is 200 HP......................100 HP per liter with 5.7 is 570HP....do u see what Im saying? HP per liter doesnt mean SHIT if u dont have enough!

that's all there is to say....well actually.....

VTECH=9000mhz of fury frequency.......VTEC=is just something that gets Honda owners excited.

It's really hard to even give you a benefit of a doubt that you might know what you're talking about when you blatantly misspelled something that you're an expert in.

insanely bais example the 1.7 engine was built for economy and insanely low emisions lets look at a performance honda motor like say from an S2000

240hp / 2.0L
120HP per liter (Which btw is more power per liter than any other production car to date)

405hp / 5.7L
71hp per liter

But this is really comparing apples to oranges and has nothing to do with which is better or worse than the other I just wanted to make a more fair comparison
