this is why they don't line FWD with RWD
maybe we'll meet this 16 second wonder one day with our slow v8's.
Your argument about v8's being inefficient is getting you nowhere dude. Your ability to grasp math, common sense, and knowing when you said something stupid is sorely lacking. Displacement is not meant to make up for inefficiency. That's why an ls6 makes more HP stock than most of your ricer 'champions' (an SVT makes even more HP per liter, with not much boost).
If you look at most stock japanese cars (naturally aspirated) you will see that they're either right around the v8's, or less.
There is a reason japanese, german, italian, and american manufacturers use higher displacement v8's for high performance applications my friend, and it's not because they're too lazy to get the desired amount of HP out of a 4cyl engine.

240hp / 2.0L
120HP per liter (Which btw is more power per liter than any other production car to date)
405hp / 5.7L
71hp per liter
But this is really comparing apples to oranges and has nothing to do with which is better or worse than the other I just wanted to make a more fair comparison

Horsepower @ rpm 240 @ 8300
Torque (lb.-ft. @ rpm) 162 @ 6500
weak ass torque numbers, and let me know when you get to 8300 RPM, I'll be taking a nap.
the 2004's are 2.2 liters btw.
I said that in the post...I respect both domestic and import cars but when you boys get together you tend to sound like beligerant rednecks...both have potential to be fast it is a matter of personel opinion so arguing over it is pointless and endless
NOTE: I AM NOT TAKING THIS KIDS SIDE HE IS A RICER MORON AND SHOULD DIE.

I wanna post a poll.
poll1
whats more fun to the TR members.. arguing about racing or racing?
poll2
are you die hard imports VS domestics? or just love cars in general and appreciate others that do the same?
poll3
what have you spent more time doing -drifting, or arguing about drifting? (if applicable -you know who you are-)
all you guys are arguing about nonsense. your losing little pieces of yourselves everytime you argue with each other about something you BOTH love. cars. we should all be spending this time arguing and fighting for open track days or $1 drag race nights at the tracks or cheaper ways to get into drag or autocross racing etc...
point your passion in the right direction.
arguing about wether great cars are really great is fruitless. they both have their strong points and I bet each one of you agree 100%. if you domestic guys can't at least recognize the engineering prowess of Japanese imports and their amazing potential your fools. If the Import guys cant at least appreciate the simplistic time tested power of american big-displacement cars, the huge HP figures they are capable of and the rich history behind them they are not true car lovers anyways and dont "get it".
poll 4
a lot of people don't get it. do you?
