What have you seen, heard or read on the new Ford Super Duty trucks?

Good.... Bad..... Indifferent....

Looking for feedback on Ford's latest SD truck.... thanks in advance.

CON-you cant change there exhaust at all from what i was told. Which sucks for some, because i love the sound of turbo deisel with exhaust.

PRO- Twin turbo, Which allowes for low end and high end power.
CON- twin turbo, More maint.

About the design, i was reading an article that the reason the front end is a lot different is because the lower the main frame which is better for crash rating.

ill see if i can find it and ill let you know what else.

Yeah, I spoke with them today.... seems they have implemented more restrictions on them as well from a warranty perspective...
.... no exhaust mods...
.... no chipping...
.... no lifts over 6 inches....

My truck that I currently have whistles sooooo freakin loud! I love it!

thanks!

i dont like the front end of the new fords.. actually i think from 92-06 those 2 body styles were the best and the minor changes in between some were great some were crap.. but the new one i think is just yuck.. as far as driveline is concered (what im about to say is all heresay) i have heard they are awesome to drive/haul with but it sucks the big one because they break very easily.. now just to clarify they arent actually twin turbos as one may think they are sequential turbos like the supra TT or the rx7 tt.. they arent like skylines or 300zx with actual twin turbos

Thats what i meant. Sry, couldnt think of the word. 1 spools the other, that how they get the low and high end power.

Correct me if im wrong.

your right.. i didnt mean to sound like an ass either i just wanted to make sure people didnt think there was 1 turbo for each bank.. theres a small turbo that spools and the motor runs off that till the wastegate on the bigger turbo opens at which time your running the bigger turbo reasoning behind these setups is so that you get the benifits of both worlds... you get a small quick spooling turbo for your low end power.. or in the case of diesels your low end torque and the bigger turbo takes care of the big high end torque you will get.. i dont know the exact specs but according to a friend of a friend (why i said it was heresay in first post) they are still kinda "testing" the motor.. as in they want lots of power and torque but are having reliability issues with it already.. but every new vehicle runs into that when they have major changes or when its just a new vehicle.. but i have no idea.. i havent even seen one in person
