Lets see we have a few in our fleet. Pretty truble free compaired to the 6.ohh no. You can remove the exhuast, simply weld 2 bungs where the sensors for the particulate filter go. Many companies are releasing programers that remove regen. They fuel economy is awful, somewhere between 11 and 13 on 250s, single digits for our 20K lb 550s w/ 4.88s. No other problems we know. You can fit 35s on a stock 35 w/ leveling kit due to rear lift blocks. Nothing else either way but the fuel economy does suck when you look at the 6.0 or 7.3.

If you don't want a huge ride the Duramax seems to be the best ride out there, great fuel economy and will put bus lengths a 250 stock to stock.

Thanks!

I have been speaking with FORD and DODGE over the past couple of weeks.
And I am weary of buying anything first gen.
Not in a hurry..... just kicking around getting a new truck while sales are slow.
Need to run over to a CHEVY shop this week and check them out as well.

Thanks again.

well as far as diesel im biased to fords.. never liked the dodges.. anything dodge really.. and chevy diesels are nice but i have always leaned towards ford trucks.. dont get me wrong the chevys look a lot better but i have just always liked the fords.. my friends shop has a fleet of all chevys and one ford and the one ford is 5 years older than their chevys and it runs better and more maintenance free than the chevys.. its a 4.6 v8 and the chevys are the v8s too but i dont remember what.. anyways good luck let us know what you do

I wouldn't go buy a new one, just because your truck is pure sex, BUT if you get that itch, get a dodge 3500 QC diesel and you'll be in love.

I can get the a fully decked out 2008 F350 4X4 Diesel, Long Bed with Navigation, Power Sun Roof and all the bells & whistles for around $12K (about 20%) under MSRP...

the jury is still out on what I am going to do.....

Like I said once before, if you're really considering it, PM me a price on your truck (if you're wanting to sell)

I'll pay you 14k for it- if you can get it that cheap.
