Default AE86 sugestions

so i just bought an 87 GT-S and i want to know some sugestions for inexspensive/easy swaps. it allready has a few things like meagan springs, TRD header, obx bullshit exhaust, jblood front, and ofcourse the factory lsd. i understand the lsd in those is pretty good so ill be leaving that alone for a while.

i love the 4ag, but i want to get mo powa. should i continue to build the 4age, or should i do a 4agze swap? do they make itb set ups for the 4age? how much does a black top 20v full swap usually run? secrets with heads and intakes? my tvis still works too

questions, questions, sooo many questions. let me know what you all think is the best plan of action after i get the basic mechanical shit done like new poly bushings and a speedo cable, lol.

im thinking a 7 rib gze block, 20v crank and rods, forged pistons, and adapter plate for the 20v itb set up. i found formula atlantic 13:1 pistons and hks cams for pretty "cheap"

don't ruin that car with a 1uz. it will handle like garbage.
the cheapest easiest way to make power is to go gze, with a header and a pully you could get 160-180 wheel hp on the stock blower. an n/a 16v build will get exspensive, i already have over 2 grand in a built 16v in the just the head and bottom end. not worth it imo. gze or gze turbo.

and make sure its not the gear in the tranny, those go bad all the time, speedo cable's hardly ever go bad.

None of this makes sense. You have a corolla now, going fast is going to be the last thing your money is going to go to, you just bought a 23yr old corolla, have fun fixing everything that breaks and getting little to no results for 2x the money

Seriously?!....I have a 31yr old rolla and nothing has "broken". Alternator, starter....normal stuff. Those Corollas treated well last long....yes its an old car but YES you can "go fast"....with the right amount of money....3sgte is a good way to go. Im strictly Toyota car = Toyota powerplant but you can also look into ca18, and f20c....20v 7age also possibility .....wanna get froggy and spend some money look intro jz's.....possibilities are endless

He has an 87 GT-S, he has LSD, only SR-5 did not have LSD. What did you think I was talking about idiot. In the 5yrs owning my car i've replaced, diff seal, both axle seals, both ball joints, both wheel bearings front/back/inner/outer, tie rod ends, EVERY bushing, pads, brake fluid, trans seal, rack bushings, and im sure way more im forgetting like seals around windows, etc. I also daily this car everyday.

That stuff to me is "normal stuff", and everything listed are things that went wrong and I fixed, not things that I just felt like replacing. I've owned 3 of these damn things, each one had problems or was going to have problems.

^thats just normal shit, i looked over it and i see about $400 worth of regular shit that i need to replace. but after that im def going to built a 4a for this. i dont want to deal with dumb ass wiring swaps and all that stupid shit.

hks cams- $340 each
hks valve springs - $150
hks cam gears - $300
then i will rebuild the top end myself on another small port 4a head. i have the hook up for P&P from previously working at CCH.
the crank and rods will cost me about $250
another block from the jyard
the pistons will be the most expensive thing in the block for me. i dont even know which ones i want to get, i dont want anything more than 12.5:1.
then intake will be a 20v itb and adapter plate set up.

whole build will be cheaper and easier than swaping a 3sgte. then i have little shit like tranny and clutch, which will just be another stock trans and just a stage one clutch from a local custom clutch manufacturer. all in all i figure this build will be about 3K in drivetrain and $1500 in body shit.
