2JZGE Build up...
Don't go into off-topic the princes post in there. It's not that bad, just if you are young with a MKIV you get smashed right off the bat for no reason.
ClubLexus.com also has alot of info on boosting the GE motor as does ClubNA-T.com

hmm , me and flyspyder55 are finishing a na-t in a mk4 rite now , its a complete rebuild with 2jz turbo pistons , i would say that is the way to go after comparing the two pistons first hand , now i see why u can make 4 digits on a stock bottem 2jzgte , also i would go with a side exit intake manifold as it will elimate a mile of intercooler piping , also the desighn of the ge manifold is pretty crappy , but hey this is my first mk4 i've ever done , as i am a honda guy , but flyspyder55 is a wealth of every little bit of useless toyota information that could ever be fathomed
Will the cams made for the 2JZ-GTE fit into the 2JZ-GE motor? I only ask because there are more cam options for the 2JZ-GTE engine. Yes, I do understand that there is not a gear drive for the distributor on the 2JZ-GTE cams but I am confident that I will be able to fabricate something up to keep the distributor working, like putting the distributor in front of one of the cam gears for example, I am currently looking into crank trigger and coil pack potions, Also, what are all the engine components which interchange between the two; crank, rods, pistons, etc. While I’m asking so many questions I want to clarify, the GE crank is forged as well correct? I thank you guys for your help, I will be taking the block and head in some time in August to get everything checked out and hopefully begin machining on the block and needed work on the head. Thanks again for everything.
The intake cams are interchangable between the GE and GTE motors and any aftermarket one will work. As for the exhaust side the only reputable cams I've found are from Eric at TTC Performance over in WinterHaven. If you send him your Exhaust cam he can have it hardwelded and reground to any duration you want. I had him do mine in a 268, you can go alot higher depending on what turbo your running and weather or not your going to run shimless buckets. If you want a nice idle though I'd stay under 272 unless your idling at like 1100rpm.
