as far as acceleration, that 500-600lb diff is a HUGE diff even on a stock ct26. though i agree bigger turbos are where its at. im going with a gt4082 with 0.68 a/r turbine housing. car will run just fine. i wanted fast spool but ~550rwhp and this should do that.

as for suspension, they seel pretty much everything for the mkii, thought the mk3 is a actual better design, imho it doesnt perform as well due to the weight, and if its a targa car then your really sol. those things flex ALOT!. lol. idk, i have just always loved the mk2, and after owning both mk3 and mk2 and driving many mk4's and mk1's, the mk2 is still my fav hands down.
For as far as I have remembered you have loved the MK2... you still have the same one as back in the day?

And to stick onto topic, it the best Supra to start with is all matter of your own personal taste and budget.

not sure which one you mean, i have had 7 of them(blue 83, red 84, black 84, 2 blue 85's, brown 85, and black 86). curently have 3. longest ive had one of the current ones is ~4.5 years. and thats the blue 85 i bought for a dd when my red 84 got totalled by the minivan full of drunks. since then ive bought a black 84 and a black 86.

as for which is best, thats what i said, personal prefernce is what matters.
