Exclamation mkiv supra help

When car is stopped in neutral and you slam down on the gas pedal. There is a constant misfire at around 6000 rpms. Any ideas would help.

6000rpm in neutral? under no load at all? why would you do that under any circumstance at all? trying to blow the engine? or bounce off the rev limiter like a motorcycle?

Sounds like you need to change/upgrade your plugs.

It's your 2-step set to 6k...

I actually dont have a 2 step. the reason I am revving to such high rpms
in nuetral is only to get it to misfire. I dont usually rev so high in nuetral
but I can get it to misfire every time that way. Im bpu by the way.

I recently installed new spark plugs (IK22 iriidium factory gapped .032)
and this did not fix the problem, do I need to gap them smaller than that?

I have an obd2 computer installed so I will be scanning to see if any misfire codes are there.

Does anybody know if the .032 factory gap is ok, or should I regap?

I think he was being facetious when he said it was your 2-Step.
Your statement kind of reminds me of the guy that goes to the doctor and says,
"Doc, my arm hurts when I bend it back like this. What should I do?"
Doctor - "Don't bend it like that."

Seriously though. What do you want to accomplish by revving the car to 6K?
You could have a small vacuum leak some where that isn't notice until you are at that RPM without any load on the motor. You may need new coil packs. There could be a number of things that could be wrong or nothing at all except the fool revving his car to 6K in the driveway.
