Ok so I or you proved your point, why buy an engine that you know that you will have to tear down to change the HG right off of the bat?..... Wait I maybe I can answer that for you:

1) One may need good experience for the ability to remove and replace headgaskets.

2) One can use this new found knowledge to remove head again replace worn rings and or pistons.

3) One may boast about how he or she is "smarter" then the toyota engineers by torquing his or her head past the specifications stipulated by the factory service manual.
