now i don't favor myself as an expert but i know a decent amount about cars more specifically hondas and toyotas. why is it people believe hondas are so much better than toyotas, especially the older models. i mean the 88 corolla gts, levin, trueno all very very fast cars. a 4age engine TURBOCHARGED or not OR EVEN THE 4AGZE SUPERCHARGED would eat up just about any car honda came out with that year. as a matter of fact there are at least 4 engines i can name that i can't see a honda engine competing with excluding the nsx of course. ALL OPINIONS AND VIEWS WELCOME, EVEN INSULTS. BUT HEY LETS TRY TO KEEP IT AT A MINIMUM.

what engine does honda have that will even compare with a 3sgte, 4age, 7mgte, 1jz, 2jz and many more. besides..bring the nsx in and get supra>nsx by far

Honda isnt a bad company. I quite like them. Its just they arent a "power player" like toyota is.

Honda has this thing with not boosting anything, and I really wish they would. Their jetski is the only thing boosted and I wish it would go farther than just watercraft.

 

you know i was having an argument with my cousin. i told him a supra would absolutely eat up an nsx but then again he's one of those honda hatchback kats you kno, with a fart can on the back calling it "performance". poor guy feels that if he shoves a whole bunch of integra gsr parts into it it will make it "cool" .one wonders why he didn't just buy an integra first time around. how sad.


hondas or alright but played out, very very played out. i swear if i see one more honda with a puerto rican flag in the winshield blasting "reggae-garbage" i am gonna scream.

There are well done hondas out there.

A B20 in a civic hatch can run 12's and high 11's with proper tuning and traction but without a turbocharger. Thats more than come MKIV's can say at times.

HOWEVER this dosent mean they are better, because the speed / money ratio on hondas isnt particularly good.

 

BPU pump gas MKIV's run 12.0 in the teens and this is with about 1200 in mods... AND the motor that came in the car!!!! 11s on stock fuel stock twins is very possible, and 10s with a 50 shot on stock fuel stock twins...

only b20 ive seen ran a 14.5 in a full weight eg coupe, again, the car is FULL weight as you or I can buy them off a lot, and it still isnt the stock motor...

no offense - im just not much into this honda swap thing.

i have a honda and a toyota and i like both. each has there own benefits. each person will have there opinion on what is better. both companies have strived to be unique. both are great companys and both produce great cars. and i am wondering why the stereotype? do u also have a problem with puerto ricans? do u feel the need to vent? because i am puerto rican.

 

no offense to you as a puerto rican my friend. i am from the caribbean. not the "oh my parents are from......" i am real caribbean born individual. i don't have no problems with pr's but i just hate reggaeton, i don't feel it's original, itrs a rip-off of reggae a very bad rip off too. i think its just a already popular culture looking for more popularity. hey i love puerto ricans tho, my girlfriend is puerto rican.

 

Nobody here has a problem with puerto ricans. Its the ricer ones that tend to ruin it for you guys. Just like there are "black people with tasteless 24" rims on some 60s car", "some asians with fartcanned hondas" and "some rednecks with huge V8s, southern accents, and truck raised 2 feet in the air with a southern pride sticker over the rebel flag tinted rear window".

I like Toyotas better because they dont put underpowered motorcycle/small craft engines in their regular cars. Or if they did, they arent pathetically underpowered just because yamaha designs the heads. I like how impossibly stout their engines and chassis can be, and how if you see somethign on the side of the road, 5x out of 10 its a dodge, 3x a chevy and 2x a ford
