I invented a new type of cam for Toyota. What if by using an ECI and determining how one drives, you could change entire cam profile? I'm teh cool.

but its rare that you can find a car and a motor and do those mods and everything for that price. realisitically, you're probably talking more. and i understand and accept the little bit of flaming. i have gobs of respect for all japanese companies. when it comes down to it, honda is world renowned for n/a motors. toyota is known for its "stout" motors. and i understand the pussy factor in a supra. theres a decent pussy factor in an s2000, which is closer in price. but we arent really talking pussy factor here. if you want pussy factor, buy a ferrari or a benz. the original topic was about which is a better manufacturer. i dont think it can be discussed. there are way too many variables to account for, not to mention the millions of people who vouch for each side. let everyone continue to enjoy whichever or both

 

its all how smart you are in doing your mods and the order of when it comes to the mr2. Mark payed retail for everything, but he did all the wrenchwork himself.

I agree, both companies have strong points. Toyota just fits my interpretation of "powerband" better. (personal opinion)

Ok, sorry for such a poor explaination(and the use of the word forementioned) of the Supra. Compaired to any honda, the supra is just that, above all. MK4 owners own them because they know they have the hottest thing on wheels(somewhat). The opnly honda that i would trade a supra for would be a NSX-R.

 

yeah u all right but lets compare same class like civic vs corolla. i had both and to me honda likes higer rpm's and it is faster to rew, but on the other hand toyota engines simply wont die (my 88 camry w/ 340,567 miles).
ps i currently drive stock '00 corolla w/ 150,000 miles and it still runs like new even after all abuse she took from me.
