i hate japan, some many cool used cars just get the knife for no reason. i am moving there. shit i'd pay $5k for a whole RHD st205. i'd rather have the whole car though.

 

That's a big negative on the gt-4 site. I hit up all the celi sites and there ain't much going on in the way of swaps, or clips for sale. Maybe i should hit up the MR2 forums. Anybody got a list of those?

 

Dude what are you talking about, I've seen these clips go for like 4k plus shipping. 3500 is average price for a good clip. Your not going to see any posts on any celica cites especially ecelica.com or new celica.org. They are all ricer panzees and its too much trouble for them to put a 3s in there. Tru celica sites that might be looking for a clip are celicatech.com and alltrac.net. No one is going to make a post in the classifieds looking for a clip. They usually tend to contact an importer. On ebay maybe you can sell the thing pretty easily. Good luck. If you can get me a full st205 in the states I'll give you 5-6k depending on the condition.

Actually there a quite a few thigs that differ between 3rd and 4th gen 3sgte's

The Big Ones:
You mentioned:
1 - turbo
2 - compression
3 - boost

you didn't:
4 - intake manifold
5 - No distrubutor
6 - Top feed fuel rail and better fueling
7 - and it supposedly has a much better and stonger awd tranny that the st205

8 - not to mention the motor is generally 5 years newer

 

but you dont want the 4th gen 3sgte, the turbo and exhaust many is all 1 piece and the prices for the caldina clip is just out right expensive! ebay has had a few for $5k, not worth since most of the after market is made for the 2nd and 3rd gen. Hell there is more you can do with the 1st gen than you can with the 4th gen since you can slap all the 2nd gen stuff on the 1st gen and do all the 2nd gen upgrades.

1st, 2nd and 3rd and generaly all alike and are backwards compaitble, all the 2nd gen stuff can go on the 1st gen and all the 3rd gen stuff can go on the 2nd gen.

 

Yeah 4th gens comes only on a automatic caldina Yeah that turbo peice sucks, but really its not bad for a stock engine. If the wiring wasn't such a fucking bitch and if it wasn't that expensive I would consider swapping one into something
