Tacomas...
Hey all!
My dad is looking to get me a tacoma. Im completely against it because they look too small. How roomy are they? Im probably going to test drive one but i would like to know ahead of time what to look for. Im 6 foot, 215lbs with wide shoulders so comfort is a must (take into consideration my moms land rover Disco is too small for me). Also i heard the seats absolutley suck. Are they that bad or just overexaggerated? How is insurance on these beasts and gas mileage (with v6 4wd)?
Thanks!

i loved my 97 tacoma. and i wish i still had it!!! absolutly best truck you can buy (well besides a Tundra). If you ahve problems fitting make sure you get an Extended cab cause they have more room. mine was a V6 extra cab 4x4 5spd and it was loaded. got decent gas milage and insurance isent that bad. if you don'tt fit in the extra cab go drive a tundra! i garuntee you'll buy one.

Thanks for the help with the tacos guys. Are the 4 cylinders horribly underpowered? And insurance cant just be "that bad".
My parents insurance provider quoted me over 6 grand a year for a 6 cylinder automatic champaigne colored 1997 camry... absolute joke. That means around 7500 for the tacoma, right?

My wife and I have a limited tundra ,and my father in law has a v6 taco extended cab . Ive drove both to pennsylvania and the taco was very comfortable (I stopped and few times to sleep!!) and got about 20-22 miles per gal. I love those trucks ,bilstein shocks are a standard on the pre runner and 4xs.Get the 4x
Btw ,Im 6ft.2 and the ext. cab is a must

I had a 2001 Tacoma Pre-Runner (Extended Cab) with a V6 4x4 and TRD package as my demo when working at Lexus and it rocked.
I'm 6'3" and I easily fit into it without any problem. The seat was able to go further back than I though it would be able to, so the seats are easily adjustible to any sized person. They are kind of stiff though
This truck IS my next vehicle. I also think that Toyota has 3% APR financing going on as well too.

I have a minitaco... it's small bc I don't have an extended cab.. If I had it extended I would be completely happy.. I'm 6' 195lbs.. my dads 92 pickup is tha shit and still running strong.. he hasn't done anything to it except change the oil and changed the battery due to forgetting to turn the lights off.. The Tundra is the most comfortable truck I've ever sat in.. while waiting for my moms solara to get outta the shop (they had alot of problems with the 99 solara's..) I sat in one and ended up going to sleep and a salesman nocked on the window to wake me up and thought I was a bum or something untill I explained to him that I was waiting for my car and that I was looking at getting a toyota pickup... hehe... fun times in miami.. BTW the tundra I sat in had leather interior... fuckin LOVELY!!! I want one bad...
