since we brought S&R up. i was very displeased with their service. i took it in for a smoke test so that they could tell me what was leaking and i could fix it myself. but instead of letting me know. they began taking stuff apart without my permission and then expected me to pay for it. and at first they wouldnt let me in the shop to watch them test my car either.

Q16 your cool. And they do overcharge boy. They charged more than any shop I got a quote from. Why? Answer me that with your "I suck S&R's dick" rhetoric. And you never answered me about how one shop charges x and another y, despite being both licensed. Or is your answer to that a smiley face and the same thing you've been saying over and over.

Shops usually base their rates on qualifications and equiptment. Most dealers are over 100 due to their access to dealer scaners/dealer speacial tools, itbs not avail to public, ect. An aftermarket shop that charges more usually only hires ase ceritified techs, has diagnostic scanners, pays for online service manual, maybe a dyno, smoke machine, ect... some shops charge a very differet rate for maintance than for heavy work andx a differnt rate for diag. Some shops don't charge a lot cause they aren't worth it so they r happy with any one who would bother coming to their shop. I realize you think this is overcharging and that at my shop $85 an hour is a rip off, but most of the customers I deal with hav no problem with it, and I always encourage people to inquire as to why it costs what it does, that way I get to justify the price. my shop is doing great though, thanks for asking.

we charge $250 for most spring installations, I apologize for the miscommunication. Not sure who you might have talked to but we don't charge $400 for spring installation.

I know exactly who I talked to. Its the big guy with the glasses who works at the front desk all the time. I'm glad that you cleared this up for me but it is very scary how you guys are not all on the same page because $150 is a lot of money. Can you guys give me the name of a guy I can talk to that wrote this post because I was overcharged before as well with the same guy and I don't want this happening again.

O and JCSSTI this just goes to show you how wrong you are buddy. Sorry bro.

Lol, wrong about what. My price is still 300. But I do have an idea for ur next thread! Title should read. I'm very cheap and want that to show on my car. The post should say. I have am very ignorant to this business, and have no clue about auto tech. So whoever has the cheapest price gets my business, no qualifications needed! Thanks.

Oh and with my crazy prices my shops is still doing fine.
