question what is the big difference between WRX and STi? As far as I can see the WRX is more rally and the STi is street. Am I hitting the nail on the head?
I think you misplaced the nail on that one to be honest.

There is much more to STI than just a bigger turbo and i/c. Suspension is better, brakes are better, which would only make the STI better in Rally.

If you look at the full name of an STi, it's Impreza WRX STi. The STi wording is Subaru Technica International, kind of like SVT is to Ford or Nismo to Nissan.

The STi version of the Impreza is loads better than the WRX. You get a stronger transmission with better differentials (and a limited slip front diff), you get better brakes, better suspension setup with stiffer bushings. The motor is better (especially when comparing 08+ WRX vs 08+ STi). The turbo is larger when you look at 02-08 WRX vs 04-07 STi. The intercooler is larger also larger on the STi. The wheel bearings on 05+ STi's are much better than what is offered for the WRX and there is a larger supply of wheels to choose from in the sense that there are more wider wheels available outside of Rota.

I'm sure there is plenty more that I'm leaving out.

Ok im not being a dick or prick or have an attitude when saying this lol. But i dont think anyone on here that is at least vaguely knowledgeable about subys wants to explain everything to you. The best way to learn is to READ!! Not sure if your firmiliar with the website NASIOC.com but register there and research research research theres more knowledge about subys on there then you can fit in your brain. Once again not being a dick or snobby thats just honestly your best bet at learning the most about our cars. Good Luck! Subarus are great reliable cars and fun to drive and I hope you can join our community! Good Luck
