Sounds stupid but I might not be looking in the correct places.

I recently bought a 02 wrx at an auction wrecked and found out it has a 6 speed swap. Since I found that out I figured hell why not check the engine to see if it has a hybrid. Would ej25 be stamped anywhere visible on the engine without having to take it apart?

 

yes ej25 is stamped on the top of the block by the head

 

Thanks alot will have to look for that when I get back to work monday . I thought finding out it was a 6 speed was a nice present hell if its a 2.5 I dunno what I deserved to get 2 great gifts lol.
