+1 clean shop!

 

Usually this does not matter as much in cars as it does in working on aircraft but tool accountability is never a bad thing. We are required to etch our tools, and shadow our boxes. PITA? Yes, would a performance shop that has a tool and rag accountability program save them from either tools growing legs and walking out, or ending up foding something out help? Basically if i walk into a well organized, clean, and professional shop i will send customers their way.

Yeah, I hate when a shop is so dirty that i'm scared to catch a disease from the shop......definitely not cool

 

Exactly, a clean shop is something I look for. It only takes 5 to 10 minutes for a person to clean up their work area. Scattered parts and tools just shows disorganization and doesn't breed confidence with clients.

Most impressive shop I ever saw was Penske Wynn Ferrari Dealership in Vegas. It is all white-glove, you could eat of the tools/floor.

 

Epoxy the floor, makes it look so much nicer!

Alot of what was said, was already in order. I just wanted to make sure I was on the correct path.

I am one that agree's with a customer area. I hate driving HOURS to get work and a tune, and have to lean against a building for 5 hours. Not that fun!
