Think of it this way, Your going thru the traps at 6900 rpms or so with an 07 STI with his mods. Now, at that RPM, your probably boosting 15psi? and making 250whp or so?

Shift to 5th at 6K, and your at full boost (21 psi with spike) and making your most WHP crossing at 6200 or more RPMS....

If you can shift fast enough, then your golden.
I will try shifting at 6500 or so, that's where my power/torque is falling off (at least according to the dyno graph from my protune). If that means shifting to 5th, so be it.

Your shifting is not necessarily going to work for him......Unlike most tunes his cars holds power all the way to redline. You should decide oyur shifting points by using the dyno plot. If you are making 300 whp from 4500-7k then you should take that bitch to redline or at least high enough up so that when you shift you are always at your peak power.

I just looked at your dyno plot UGM and the power starts slightly dropping at 6700k....I would try shifting at redline 1-2 6700k 2-3 6800k 3-4

Next time I head to BMP (gotta be COOLER!), I will test your analysis here and also 6500 in each gear. Then we'll take a look at the results.

it was nice meeting you guys saturday. i was andys friend matt with my son. something to think about is it was pretty hot and you had a head wind against you. i just like how clean your car is and consistant it runs. joes car is pretty nice too. anyhow the best part is you have much room for improvement.

Likewise, sir. Thanks for the compliments, although my car is VERY dirty It will be getting a thorough cleaning soon...when I'm energetic enough to cease working and studying for a moment to actually take the time. Joe's car is just plain sick!

Yea, I didnt look at your graph. You hit peak power at 5,500, shift at 6500.

The 1-2nd shift. I would just hit second as quick as you can... anything after 5500... no lag and 2nd gear will get you rockin!
