The guy brought the car to the dealer for its entire life sence 02, even the rebuild. I guess thats the best way to do it, makes for one hell of a deal though.
SO the dealer told him it needed 5000$ worth of work
I drained to coolant and oil today to see if there was some sexy fluid swaping going on.
No coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant
Headgasket is good too! Its just the fuel filter making it smoke along with some kinda old 93
Thanks for the info on the compression testing what psi am i looking for on the 02 EJ20

lol.. not anything special. It's basically just a stock d16z6. No H,K, or B series anything. I've done very few mods honestly, and I literally JUST picked it up from YONKE on Saturday. I had the motor completely rebuilt, and JUST hit 100 miles on the way home today

My plan is to boost it. Single cam + a little extra oxygen forcefed into the motor = fun This Sunday she's getting an all new suspension.. so I'm pretty excited. Here is the link, just for fun. The pictures don't really start until a few pages in, and I need to update. I forget exactly where the current look comes into the thread.

oh.... and as far as finding a good deal - I looked for almost 3 months. Shopping around, calling people... one let down after another. They were either more than I could afford, or absolutely trashed mechanically. One guy had an AWESOME looking deal on Craigslist for an Aspen Bugeye... so beautiful you could cry. Turned out to be a money scam. I had an appointment set up with Mastro to go look at a SWEET ass psm they had... the guy called me ten minutes AFTER he was supposed to meet me with the car and said he sold it. 3 days I tried to get approved for another one at another dealership, but the finance company said the miles were too high, etc etc etc. basically I gave up. If it's meant to be, it will...and I guess this isn't MY year to get one. No biggie... I will just focus on my little ricer. I will still be at the meets taking pictures of Chuck's mohawk.

Good luck on the suspension and boost. My good friend has a 350whp d16 in his EJ8. Pretty sexy car after boost and coilovers. As for finding a good deal, i drove to miami for this wrx, so just keep looking. I didn't have my heart set on a wrx wagon i just thought they were cool and grabbed it before one of you bastards would.
After having it for acouple days its completely changed me to love awd, the wagon's lines, the bug eyes. I love everything about it
