Default Hydra or AEM?

Which would you rather have? Anyone have experience with either one? How did you like it? etc?

im in the same boat as you i asked a lot of people with hydra and aem they both had good points...

but for the most part people with subies steered towards the hydra they said their tuners preferred it over the aem unit and it was "easier" to tune

^ see I would think AEM would be easier to tune...the AEM ECU's have been used for soooo long in general. I lean towards the AEM because from what I have seen it is fairly easy to learn how to tune on as well. I remember reading somewhere thaat you a can actually just plug in the afr's and the AEM will target them

i have rarely seen a subby w an aem. most of the big power aplications ive seen they have had the hydra. ive heard the aem is not too hard to tune, aem actually gives classes for whoever wants to learn how to tune it.

AEM as a company does not offer a class on how-to tune with the AEM EMS to the general public. You have to be a shop and/or known tuner. Then they only demonstrate how-to use the SOFTWARE. Nothing on tuning

I've used both systems plenty of times. I recommend the AEM EMS over the Hydra. Easier to use, more features, better support, etc.
