I know plenty of people that drive/have had sti's with no problems.

They do have the driver mod though.

You=moron.

It's retards like you that curse and say really ignorant things that make threads like this not work asshole.

Learn to drive and it won't happen...plain and simple.And there are a few times i've heard of the trannys messing up but mostly its because of a poor driver.

whoa! either he hit your buttons or your pissed cause you know he's right. you should check some of his previous post to give you an idea what his car is capable of and its all on his stock wrx tranny. he's well in the danger zone of what a stock wrx tranny can take and still has not had a single problem on his tranny. if I'm slow replies he's gonna own you.

Actually I do have an opinion, which was ....you should learn how to drive a Subaru. For your information similar things have happened to me. I have had a lemon wrx in the past and currently have 2 more sitting outside my driveway so do some research before you jump to conclusions.

Now you said you recently bought the 2004 STi, so maybe it wasn't you that messed it up completely......but the fact of the matter is.....someone did. What you described was a syncro problem. Syncro problems on a STi only come into play from bad or abusive driving. As long as you keep the tranny fluid in the case the STi synchros will last for a long time and a ton of power.

Now it is very rare that a STi syncro just goes bad from proper gear changing. But you got to ask yourself........What are the chances that 2 go on the same tranny?

Subie trannies need tender love and care. They can't just be banged into gear like Honda's.

my 05 STi took a ton of beating and no gear problems. never missed a gear. the STi is hard to fuck up and 99.999999999999999999999999999% is driver error. the WRX tranny, thats a different story.
